Fractional CFO & Deal Operator

I don’t advise
businesses.
I get in the room
and do the work.

Revenue architect, turnaround specialist, and capital operator with 30+ years and a portfolio of rescues and builds behind me. I sit in the seat and do the work.

Two situations. One operator.

Which situation
are you in?

Track A — Business Rescue

Your business is in trouble.

Revenue is down. Cash is tight. You’ve already tried the obvious things and they haven’t worked. What you need isn’t more advice — you need someone who has sat in this seat before and knows exactly what to do next.

  • Assume the fractional CFO role from day one
  • Find and stop the cash bleed within 30 days
  • Build or restructure new revenue streams
  • Streamline operations without gutting the business
  • Negotiate with lenders, vendors, and stakeholders
  • Determine the path: rescue, restructure, or exit
Engagement structure is negotiated based on your situation. Every engagement includes a cash component. Performance-aligned structures combining retainer, equity, and revenue share are available for qualifying situations.
Track B — Growth & Capital Architecture

Your business has potential you’re not capturing.

You have something working but the financial infrastructure isn’t there yet. You’re leaving revenue on the table. You need to be investor-ready but aren’t sure what that means in practice.

  • Serve as fractional CFO — own the financial function
  • Identify and open new revenue streams
  • Cut costs and improve margin before a raise
  • Build investor-ready financials and deal materials
  • Source and structure capital from my network
  • Negotiate terms and protect your equity
  • Introduce you to my network of 405,000+ accredited angel investors
Engagement structure is negotiated based on stage, risk, and capital availability. A full-time CFO costs $180K–$300K/year plus equity. This is a fraction of that — with more flexibility built in.
Track C — Business Growth

You need to work on the business, not in it.

Your business is running but you’re the one running it. You’re too deep in the day-to-day to see the bigger picture, let alone build toward it. You don’t need capital — you need a senior operator who can identify what’s holding growth back and help you fix it.

  • Identify the operational bottlenecks limiting growth
  • Build systems and processes that run without you
  • Open new revenue streams beyond your current model
  • Develop the leadership capacity inside the business
  • Create a clear plan so you can step back strategically
  • Position the business for long-term value, not just revenue
  • Access my network of 405,000+ accredited angels when capital becomes the next step
You built this business. Now let’s build it so it doesn’t need you in every room.

About Rob

Thirty years.
In the seat,
not on the outside.

I’ve spent more than three decades inside businesses as the operator in the room — not the advisor standing outside it. I’ve built companies from early stage to exit, rescued distressed businesses that everyone else had written off, and structured deals across industries that most consultants have never seen up close.

I work through Ritch Ventures, my holding company based in Bradenton, Florida. When I take an engagement, I’m not a consultant on retainer. I’m in the business with you — working the problem, making hard calls, and seeing it through.

Every engagement below is anonymized to protect client confidentiality. The numbers are real.

01
Business Rescue
Cash flow positive in 6 months

A $4M regional services company was 90 days from insolvency. Within six months: cash flow positive, two new revenue streams opened, overhead cut by 31%, and the business refinanced on favorable terms.

02
Capital Architecture
Valuation tripled at close

An early-stage SaaS founder had 18 months of runway and no path to profitability. We restructured pricing, reduced burn by 40%, and closed a seed round at a valuation 3x higher than initial investor offers.

03
Revenue Architecture
Revenue up 44% in year one

A distribution company was single-channel dependent with declining margins. Identified three untapped revenue streams, renegotiated vendor contracts, and rebuilt the cost structure. Revenue up 44% in 12 months.

How it works

Three steps.
Simple and straightforward.

Every engagement starts the same way. The process is designed to protect your time and mine — and to make sure we’re the right fit before either of us commits.

01
Apply

Applying is free. Complete a short application below and I review it personally. If there’s a potential fit, you’ll hear from me within 48 hours. If it’s not a fit, I’ll tell you that too — no runaround.

02
Assessment

From this point forward there is a fee. We meet and I do a working assessment of your business situation. You leave with a clear picture of what I see and a recommended path forward — whether we work together long-term or not.

$500 assessment fee
03
Engagement

If we’re aligned, we structure the engagement. I take the fractional CFO seat and we get to work. Engagement structures — retainer, equity, revenue share, or a combination — are agreed before we start. Every engagement includes a cash component.

Apply to work together

Tell me about
your situation.

I only take a small number of engagements at a time. The application helps me understand whether I can genuinely help you — and whether the timing is right for both of us.

A note on fees If your business genuinely cannot afford to invest in fixing itself, we’re probably not the right fit. The discovery session costs $2,500. Monthly engagements start at $15,000. If those numbers give you pause, the application is still worth submitting — there may be a structure that works.
